Research Fellow
Biofilm Biology cluster, SCELSE

Dr Nikolay Berezhnoy's research background is on the biophysics of DNA compaction. DNA is an omnipresent molecule and he is applying his knowledge in the area of membrane modification and lipidomics. His research interests include biophysical methods, current research in the field of biofilms, and research management.

At SCELSE he is focusing on molecular biology and molecular interactions, with employing his experience gained through investigating DNA, protein and lipid interactions using various biophysical methods, as well as analytical methods in lipid analysis. He uses mass spectrometry-based approaches to study dynamics of lipids in strains of E. coli growing in different conditions, particularly, adaptive changes in lipidome towards butanol.
