Dr Williams is a computational biologist with interests and expertise in intra- and inter-specific regulatory variation, environmental systems biology, study design for high-throughput methods, data analysis and methodology for the systematic analysis of 'omics data, and statistical bioinformatics. He obtained his PhD in Medicine from the University of New South Wales (St George Clinical School), Australia in 2003. Prior to joining SCELSE he was a Group Leader at the John Curtin School of Medical Research (Australian National University) in Canberra, Australia from 2007-2011.
