Dr Yuan’s research interests include synthesis of bioactive molecules and their application as antibiofilm agents, in collaboration with Prof. Tan Choon-Hong at Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry, Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The synthesis will also help to find the inhibitory mechanism and target via synthetic modification of bioactive molecules such as biotinylation. He received his PhD in Chemistry from NTU in 2010. Before joining SCELSE, he worked as a research fellow in synthetic organic chemistry at Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry, NTU.
