Dr Nirakar Pradhan joined SCELSE as a research fellow and is working in Prof. Stefan Wuertz’s Environmental Engineering cluster. Prior to joining SCELSE, he was a PhD student at University of Cassino and Southern Lazio in Italy, where he developed cutting-edge environmental technologies for pollution prevention and control; as well as worked on microbial fermentation, industrial biotechnology, waste to energy and kinetic modeling. In SCELSE, he will be working on kinetic modelling of autotrophic nitrogen removal. His research interests include water energy-nexus, biofuels development, industrial technology and current/emerging global water issues.
