Mario is a research assistant under the supervision Dr Binu Kundukad in the Biofilm Biology cluster. In SCELSE, His project mainly revolves around how active toothpaste components affect dental biofilms. Before joining SCELSE, he graduated from NTU’s Materials Engineering programme with a specialisation in Medical Materials in 2025.
