Mr Benjamin Woo has joined SCELSE as a research engineer under the supervision of Prof Stephan Schuster in the Meta-‘omics & Microbiomes cluster. He will be working in the High-Throughput Sequencing Laboratory involving DNA/RNA sample processing, library construction for next-generation sequencing (NGS), operating and maintaining various sequencing instrument platforms, and any other related laboratory processes. Benjamin is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and Biotechnology from La Trobe University. Prior to joining SCELSE, Benjamin worked at Macrogen Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a CAP-accredited sequencing laboratory, as an NGS lab technician, through which he has gained experience in various NGS techniques.
