Pei Yi joined SCELSE as a Research Associate under Prof Kimberly Kline’s supervision in the Biofilms & Health cluster. Her work focuses on looking at the localization of specific virulence factors and its relation to cell wall synthesis in Enterococcus faecalis. She utilities various microscopy techniques such as immunofluorescence microscopy and super resolution structured illumination microscopy for her work. She was awarded 2nd runner up in the NOBIC 2021 imaging contest. Pei Yi obtained her Master of Science degree from NTU, School of Biological Sciences in 2021.
