Dr Chong Shau Poh Josiah

Dr Josiah Chong is a senior research fellow under the supervision of SCELSE director of imaging Prof. Peter Török.  He specialises in optical bioimaging techniques such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and two-photon microscopy (2pm).  He is actively involved in the development and implementation of advanced optical instruments for in vivo imaging of mouse retina and for neuroscience applications.  He was awarded a PhD in the field of bioengineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011 and started his post-doctoral training at the UBC, Canada and UC Davis, USA from 2012 to 2017, where he developed OCT techniques for in vivo structural and functional imaging of human/rodents’ retina and rodents’ brains.
