Dr Foo Yong Hwee

Dr Foo Yong Hwee is a senior research fellow and the manager for the Advance Biofilm Imaging Facility in SCELSE, under the supervision of SCELSE director of imaging Prof. Peter Török. He is actively involved in training microscope users, helping researchers with imaging-related projects and image processing. He specialises in bioimaging and fluorescence spectroscopy. He was awarded a PhD in the field of biophysics at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011 and undertook his post-doctoral training at the Mechanobiology Institute at NUS from 2012 to 2018, where he applied super-resolution imaging techniques to image bacterial cells at high resolution.
