Dr Go Ka Diam joins SCELSE as a Research Fellow working with Prof Cynthia Whitchurch’s group to establish a consistent Mass Spectrometry–Cellular Thermal Shift Assay (MS-CETSA) workflow for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. He previously helped develop MS-CETSA workflows for mammalian cells and Plasmodium falciparum in the laboratories of Prof Par Nordlund and Prof Zbynek Bozdech at NTU School of Biological Sciences. His work uses MS-CETSA (also known as Thermal Proteome Profiling) to study how proteins respond to ligand or drug binding — a key step in identifying drug targets and reducing off-target effects.
