Dr Jessica Taylor is a SCELSE research fellow in the Biofilm Biology cluster, under the supervision of Prof Rebecca Case. Jessica is using transcriptomics to examine the interactions between Phaeobacter species and microalgal hosts, with the aim of increasing protein output from the microalgae. Jessica’s research background includes studies of marine sponge microbial ecology, and her research at SCELSE extends her broader interest in marine microbial ecology and symbiosis.
