Dr Tan joined SCELSE as a research fellow under the supervision of Dr Viduthalai Rasheedkhan Regina in the Biofilms & Health cluster. In SCELSE, she conducts research related to human skin microbiomes. She has obtained her PhD in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, where her studies focused on the interactions of a phage and its host, and the ecological function of an extracellular contractile injection system in a marine system. She is also very interested in life science research.
