Lakshmi Chandrasekaran is working as a research Associate in Prof Stephan Schuster’s meta-‘omics & microbiomes cluster, SCELSE. She is a bioinformatician specialized in analyzing air microbiome and human gut microbiome data generated from next generation sequencing platforms using high performance computing (HPC) server. Her key areas of research are metagenomics (taxonomic profiling, functional annotation & antimicrobial resistance – AMR) and whole genome sequencing (WGS). She is a Master of Science (MSc) graduate in bioinformatics from Nanyang technological university (NTU).
