Yee Hui joined SCELSE as a research assistant in the cluster of Meta-‘omics & Microbiomes under the supervision of Prof Stephan Schuster and Dr Akira Uchida. Her research background is in Environmental Science, which includes highly resolved identification of airborne microorganisms related to microplastics. In more details, she work in the Air Microbiome team where we investigate the dynamics of airborne microbial communities with high temporal and taxonomic resolution. Further, she is also involved in studying the relationship between the presence of microplastics in the atmosphere and the airborne microbes as well as the taxonomic composition of wet and dry deposition that remove them from air.
