Ms Sara Swa Thi, also known as Mar Lar, completed her master’s degree in chemistry at the National University of Singapore. Since 2015, she has been working as a research associate under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Wuertz in the Environmental Engineering cluster. Her current research focuses on the recovery of CO2 and the production of value-added products for fish feed, such as polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which serve as cell constituents. This research is carried out by utilizing microalgae and treated wastewater. In her role, she supports researchers by analyzing samples using analytical instruments.
