Scholarships will be awarded to outstanding SCELSE PhD students who demonstrate academic excellence, sound character, and strong passion for creativity and innovation. When submitting your application through the university portal, you must indicate that you would like to apply for a research scholarship in your application. If you are granted admission, you will be informed of the type of scholarship you will be awarded. If you have also applied separately for other external scholarships, please indicate this in your application.
Subject to the scholarship type, students admitted to the SCELSE PhD Program will generally receive:
- Full tuition fees subsidy for up to 4 years of candidature
- Monthly stipends, up to 4 years of candidature, or thesis submission
- Other allowances include:
- IT Allowance
- Conference Allowance
- Thesis Allowance

* Progressive Stipends: The total progressive stipends (of S$100/400 x no. of months within that semester) will be paid
only at the end of the semester, after assessment of your CGPA score (minimum of 3.8).

Externally funded scholarship applications are assessed at the discretion of the fund providers, hence different opportunities may be available at various times throughout the year. This list is not exhaustive. For specific details on eligibility criteria, funding availability and application processes, candidates should independently contact the fund provider concerned.
