Dr James Ho joined SCELSE as a senior research fellow under Prof. Staffan Kjelleberg’s supervision in the Biofilm Biology cluster. He specialises in cell biology, biophysics, protein science, lipid nanoparticles and biomimetic models for molecular mechanisms of cancer drugs, membrane-active substance, and biofilm structure-function relationship. He was awarded a PhD in medical science in 2014. He actively seeks opportunities for commercialisation of innovative technologies. He is a co-inventor of several patents, which form part of the intellectual property portfolio of a listed clinical-stage biotech company. He provides technical consultancy service as an independent consultant in the area of biomimetic model systems, promotes and supports entrepreneurship.
