SCELSE had the pleasure of hosting Philippe Barbarat, Global Head of Hair & Scalp Science & Technologies at L’Oréal Advanced Research, along with his esteemed colleagues, Tarun Chopra and Angeline Tay, as we further strengthen our collaborative journey in the SCELSE- L’Oréal joint lab.

The day kicked off with an in-depth introduction to SCELSE and L’Oréal’s shared goals, showcasing our commitment to pushing boundaries in skin & scalp microbial research. The team met SCELSE leaders, including Prof Alain Filloux, Prof Staffan Kjelleberg, Dr Viduthalai Rasheedkhan Regina, Prof Cynthia Whitchurch, and Maria Yung, who are deeply involved in driving this partnership forward.

Following insightful discussions, a lunch with Joint Lab members set the stage for an engaging tour of the joint lab. The day concluded with a dedicated session on joint lab projects and future directions—a promising milestone in advancing skin microbiome research. The visit was held on 7 Nov 2024 at SCELSE in NTU.
