Santhi Puramadathil Sasi

Santhi Puramadathil Sasi is a research associate at SCELSE, working in Prof Stephan Schuster’s lab within the Meta-o’mics & Microbiomes Cluster. In her role, she focuses on the development and validation of high throughput assays for screening air isolates to identify potential bioactive molecules with anti-microbial activity and its analytical characterization.
Prior to joining SCELSE, Santhi worked at Theragen Biologics Pvt. Ltd., where she was involved in the production of monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy. Her work in this field led to her being awarded a patent for “Synthetic Antibodies against VEGF and their uses”. Santhi holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from Periyar University.
