Ms Shobana has joined SCELSE as a research assistant under the supervision of A/Prof Janelle Thompson in the Environmental Engineering cluster. In SCELSE, Shobana’s main project scope will be analysing Human Viruses and Pathogens in wastewater samples and her job scope is focused on processing the wastewater samples. She received her diploma (chemical engineering) from Temasek Polytechnic and has been working in SCELSE as a temporary research assistant. Prior to joining SCELSE, Shobana was working as a laboratory technician, analysing external samples, and performing QA/QC on the laboratory equipment and reagents. Shobana’s project interests are human and animal biology, and she aims to expand her knowledge on biological research.
