Dr Palanisamy KANNAN
Research Fellow

Dr Kannan's current project is entitled “Development of a novel bioelectrochemical sensor for detection of volatile organic compounds in wastewater”. He received his PhD in 2010 from Gandhigram Rural Institute – Deemed University at Dindigul District, India. Palanisamy completed his post-doctoral programmes in Prof. Marcin Opallo’s research group at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland, and in Prof. D-H. Kim’s Bio-Surface Engineering Laboratory at the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering in Nanyang Technological University. Palanisamy has published more than 25 research articles. His research interests are mainly on the development of inspired nanomaterials for electrochemical biosensor and fuel cell applications.
